Fabrication of Selective and Sensitive Hydrazine Sensor Using Sol-Gel Synthesized MoSe2 as Efficient Electrode Modifier

Due to its hazardous nature, the determination of hydrazine is great significance. This study designed and fabricated a electrochemical sensor. Two-dimensional (2-D) molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) has been synthesized by using sol-gel method. The phase purity formation MoSe2 was determined powder X-ray diffractometer. surface morphological characteristics were studied scanning electron microscopy. presence Mo Se elements in checked energy dispersive spectroscopy. glassy carbon (GC) electrode (3 mm) modified with prepared via drop-cast approach. MoSe2-glassy (MoSe2-GC) used as working for sensing application. properties MoSe2-GC analyzed linear sweep voltammetry cyclic voltammetry. shown sensitivity 0.68 µA/µMcm2 detection limit 0.091 µM. In addition, also good selectivity toward various interfering compounds. excellent electro-catalytic behavior solely responsible this enhanced performance MoSe2-GC.
